Monolith of Surrel

A monolith in the Abzaal Rock Flats that holds an altar dedicated to the old gods. Tamar found out about the monolith while in communion with her god. Written in ancient Ur-Delthan down the side of it are the words “The Blessed Surrel All Will Be Welcome”.

Hole in the ground with the pointed ellipse monolith in the middle. Its 60 feet wide and 120 feet across and extends 400 feet to the bottom of the hole. Rock is roughly carved out of gray stone seen throughout the rock flats. Large chains extend for 60 feet from the edge of the hole on either side to a spot 20 feet from the top of the monolith. Strange runes are carved down the side of the monolith. The chains themselves are rather large and are covered in offal and rust. Hanging from smaller chains are badly decayed bodies, five spaced about 10 feet apart. Most are missing one or more limbs and one is actually missing its legs. On the back side, one is stone, one closest to cliff face.

The group faced many foes in the monolith until a final battle with an undead beholder. Tamar was able to consecrate the altar and gained Solemn.
